Basic Application Information
The Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) program has specific eligibility requirements and application guidelines to ensure a smooth process for applicants.
Age Eligibility
- 25 years and above: Platinum | Gold | Silver Category
- 21 years and above: Economy | Financial Zone
Application Method
- Applications can only be submitted through legitimate MM2H agents who are licensed by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture (MOTAC) under the Tourism Act 1992 (Act 482).

- After obtaining the visa, up to 50% of the amount can be withdrawn for property purchase, children's education, medical needs, or domestic travel

- 20 years (renewable)

Application Document Checklist
Application Document Checklist
Outlines the necessary documents required for the initial application process of the MM2H program. It provides a clear list to help applicants gather all essential paperwork for submission.
- Copy of the main applicant’s latest passport (all pages, valid for at least 24 months)
- Copy of the dependent applicant’s latest passport (all pages, valid for at least 24 months)
- Certificate of good conduct with notarized English and Chinese translations and dual authentication (for applicants aged 18 and above)
- Proof of relationship (notarized English and Chinese translations and dual authentication):
- Spouse: Marriage certificate
- Children under 21: Birth certificate or adoption certificate
- Children aged 21–34: Birth certificate or adoption certificate (including a declaration of single status and no employment in Malaysia)
- Parents: Proof of relationship and marriage certificate
- Parents-in-law: Proof of relationship and marriage certificate
- Medical report from the home country (for all applicants, using the official Malaysian medical form MF I)
- Four passport-sized photos with a blue background for each applicant
- Personal resume for the main applicant and dependents (a form will be provided)
- Employment confirmation letter from the company (on company letterhead)
- Retirement self-declaration letter

- Open a bank account and deposit the fixed deposit (as per the application tier)
- Medical report in Malaysia (using the official medical form MF II)
- Purchase medical insurance (for applicants under 60 years old)
- Property purchase agreement.(Property purchase can be done within 1 year after visa endorsement)
